Teamwork
Two minds work better than one! At kids.now we teach kids how to value teamwork and work well with others.
Communication skills are very important when working within a team because each team player needs to be able to communicate clearly on their ideas and feelings in order to achieve success.
TEAM WORK = COMMUNICATION SKILLS
During kids.now sessions, kids work on exercises that build on communications skills so they can:
share their own ideas
express their feelings in an open but non-threatening way
listen carefully to others
ask questions to clarify others’ ideas and emotions
brainstorm and think about their goals and figure out ways to make them happen as a team.
kids.now places a lot of emphasis on teamwork because we believe that together as a team of 10 students plus 1 mentor, we can create change and set examples for others!
