The Sharp Student Award
In partnership with Sharp Electronics of Canada, kids.now is pleased to present the Sharp Student Award, which recognizes kids.now participants. Our volunteer coach-mentors select award nominees based on both their active participation in the kids.now program, and how well they reflect the program's guiding principles, which include:
- a commitment to self-set goals
- being serious about wanting to succeed, and
- showing respect for self and others.
Twenty students are selected to receive a certificate and a Sharp electronic dictionary, courtesy of Sharp Electronics of Canada, at the end of each kids.now program season (spring and fall).
This honour has been awarded to participants of kids.now programs held this past fall/winter 2009/2010 from the following schools:
Western Canada:
