Dave Barlow, Board Chair

Dave Barlow is the former COO of Harvey’s Restaurants and Scores Restaurants. He is also the past Chairman of the Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association (CRFA). Dave has an established executive coaching practice in Toronto.

Naomi Bussin, Risk Management/Legal

Naomi Bussin is Senior Counsel, Professional Regulation at The Law Society of Upper Canada, providing advice to the Director of Professional Regulation on complaints, processes and policies. Prior to joining the Law Society, Naomi was a mediator at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and a Senior Policy Advisor with the Management Board Secretariat.

Jim Fisher

Jim Fisher is Vice-Dean and a chaired professor at the Joseph L. Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. His corporate sector experience includes positions as past Executive Vice President of Weston Foods, Chairman/President of William Neilson Limited, and President of George Weston North American Bakeries. Jim was also co-founder of a consultancy practice that eventually merged with The Boston Consulting Group.

Paul Flexman

For the past 15 years, Paul Flexman has held numerous sales and marketing positions at Rogers Communications, where he is currently General Manager, Retail Sales. His previous experience includes various consulting roles at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. In addition to being a past kids.now coach-mentor, Paul also organizes an annual golf tournament to raise funds for the charity.

John Scholefield, Board Treasurer

CGA John Scholefield has worked in progressively senior roles at CIBC for over 25 years, and is currently Director, Business Management Ontario, MMIB and Leveraged Finance. In addition to being past and present co-Chair of two high profile fundraisers, he has served as a volunteer with several local community organizations.

Janet King, President & Founder

Social entrepreneur Janet King is President & Founder of kids.now. Prior to creating kids.now, Janet worked in corporate management and recruitment fields, and held teaching positions in Canada and Europe. Her Canadian teaching experience includes positions with the Toronto District School Board, teaching diverse populations with special needs in low socio-economic communities. She has extensive volunteer experience including the London Board of Education, The Distress Centre, Association for Children with Learning Disabilities, and the Children’s Psychiatric Rehabilitation Institute.
