In honour of UN International Youth Day (August 12), kids.now has issued the month-long International Youth Day Challenge - rallying Canadians to make a pledge, take action, and help support Canada's youth.
Listed below are Canadians who have taken up the challenge, by pledging to support and encourage youth development.
Add your name to the list! By September 10, 2009, tell us about your pledge to support Canada's youth by filling in our International Youth Day Challenge Pledge Form. Pledges can range from simple, everyday things you can do to help develop leadership, self-confidence and life-success skills in a young person in your life, to mentoring kids in your community or helping shine a spotlight on this important issue. Your pledge to take action may inspire someone else to do the same. For simple suggestions on how you can take action and make a difference in the lives of young Canadians, please read the kids.now International Youth Day Challenge announcement.
