Kids Now is proud to welcome Olympic gold medalist in the trampoline event, Rosie MacLennan to the Kids Now family! As an honorary mentor, Rosie is drawing on her life experiences and her journey to London 2012 to inspire the entire Kids Now community. Yesterday, at St. Luigi Catholic School in Toronto, she shared the challenges she faced and the critical role mentorship played in helping her stay positive and developing a strong sense of self, skills she feels are a core part of the Kids Now program.
Rosie encouraged 300 students to work toward their dreams and was honest about her own feelings of doubt and those moments when she wasn’t sure she could achieve her goals. She emphasized the importance of moving forward and encouraged them to resist dwelling in their self doubt, “Don’t be your biggest obstacle. Believe in youself.”

Rosie received a special recognition award from the members of the Toronto Catholic District School Board
The event made a positive impact on the students and Rosie’s speech was enthusiastically received. The Kids Now team also left the event inspired to continue to help kids develop the skills they need to have a strong sense of self and be positive forces in their community. We would like to thank Rosie, the staff and students and St. Luigi school, and all media attendees for adding bounce to our successful event.
